The Sartuul is a sheep with very soft underwool and a cashmere-like feel that lives in the Zavkhan province. These sheep have been herded together with other animals in Mongolia for ages. Nomadic herders who care for the animals select the finest fibers, which are washed and carded before being hand-spun by skilled spinners in Nepal as home-based work. Just take a look at the square label when you receive the yarn to see who spun it.
We offer this yarn in 3 different weights (2-ply - fingering, 4-ply - Aran, and 8-ply - Bulky), so you can use your new favorite yarn for countless projects.
Nomadnoos yarns are hand-dyed by skilled dyers using ZDHC-compliant dyes.
