BC Garn Alba is our most popular cotton yarn, and rightly so. Knitting with cotton is all the rage: knitting a summer sweater from soft, GOTS-certified cotton – it doesn't get any better than that! The many beautiful colors are well-coordinated and invite you to mix and match. The cotton is not mercerized, making it as natural as possible. This gives the colors a subtle and understated sheen.
BC Alba is also perfectly suited for knitting baby clothes! As organic cotton, it's a true baby yarn. Since not only the raw material but also the dyes used are free of animal products, it's a completely vegan yarn.
Please note that the knitting may become slightly distorted when knitting in stockinette stitch. It's better to use a textured pattern with BC Alba yarn.
The cotton used is grown in Turkey without the use of fertilizers or pesticides and is harvested by hand.
