It all started with Semilla at BC Garn: Semilla. Meanwhile, it not only has a GOTS seal, but also a chlorine-free washing treatment! It is also softer than its predecessor.
BC Garn Semilla GOTS is the perfect all-rounder: knitting sweaters, knitting baby clothes or knitting scarves: all no problem for Semilla. The harmonious color palette can be perfectly combined with each other and with other yarns from the BC family and reflects the original, Nordic charm of the brand.
What does it mean that the yarn is now certified according to GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)? With the GOTS seal, everything is checked: from animal welfare to pollutant-free dyes and environmentally friendly production to fair remuneration for all involved and compliance with strict social criteria. In our opinion, the GOTS seal is the strictest seal for ecological and social standards in the textile industry - much more comprehensive than, for example, Oeko-Tex 100. The raw wool comes from Argentina and is of course mulesing-free. It is spun and dyed in Italy.
