Here is the undyed version of our popular Semilla yarn from BC Garn – GOTS certified and treated with a chlorine-free softwash finish. It's the perfect multi-talent yarn for accessories as well as sweaters, jackets, and children's clothing.
Since this yarn is specifically intended for dyeing, it is supplied in layers and without a label.
What does it mean that the yarn is GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified? The GOTS certification verifies everything: from animal welfare and non-toxic dyes to environmentally friendly production, fair wages for all involved, and adherence to strict social criteria. In our opinion, the GOTS label is the strictest eco-label in the textile industry – significantly more comprehensive than, for example, Oeko-Tex Standard 100. The raw wool, by the way, comes from Argentina and is naturally mulesing-free. It is spun in Italy.
