Our contribution to slow fashion: A yarn made almost entirely from recycled cotton: Reborn Denim is produced from worn cotton garments. The raw material is sorted by color, shredded into fibers using special machines, and then spun back into yarn. Ten percent premium cotton is added for color and stabilization. Because the raw material is neither bleached nor dyed, it creates a unique look reminiscent of denim.
Our recycled denim yarn has a lovely, dry feel, almost like soft linen or bourette silk. It consists of 85% recycled denim, 10% premium cotton, and 5% other fibers that cannot be separated during the recycling process. Watch the video to the side!
Please note that this yarn tends to shrink after washing. Be sure to wash a gauge swatch and, if necessary, knit one size larger.
Our KREMKE brand now has a new logo. However, for sustainability reasons, we will continue to use our existing stock of old labels. Therefore, some color variations of this yarn already have the new label, while others still have the old one.
