Oh, and one more thing: Plant fibers have no inherent elasticity and are heavier compared to animal fibers. This means that knitted items made of silk, cotton, or viscose tend to stretch out a bit. This can be prevented by using a suitable knitting pattern, such as a cable pattern. Or you can simply account for 5 to 10% "added length" and knit the piece a little shorter.
