Mercerization refines high-quality cotton so that it gets a beautiful sheen and remains more dimensionally stable. Lace and openwork patterns also come into their own here!
The cotton, by the way, comes from the USA, and it is spun and dyed in Serbia. The dyes are free of animal components, making this yarn suitable for vegans.
