At last, Erika Knight's Wool Local is also available in a 10-ply strength. So if you want to knit a nice thick jacket or a rustic sweater, this is absolutely the right choice. And the knitting experience: The wool smells! Of sheep!! Wonderful! The feel when knitting and the haptics of the finished knitted piece are so wonderfully woolly and voluminous. That's how I like it. No pilling, no sagging. This sweater goes on the "favorite sweaters" pile.
From fleece to finished yarn in less than 50 miles: Wool Local Aran also lives up to this claim, as it is both typically British and sustainably produced. The raw wool is bought at the wool auction in Bradford and then sorted, combed, spun, steamed, and wound in Yorkshire. This wonderful blend consists of approximately half luxurious Bluefaced Leicester wool and robust Masham in a sweater-suitable Aran weight.
