Wild Wool is a sustainable blend of wonderfully soft virgin wool with nettle. The wool comes from Corriedale sheep living in the Punta Arenas region of Chile. The yarn is spun in Italy.
Nettle has been used in textiles for over 2000 years and is valued for its strength and durability. Only the long fiber from the center of the stem of this plant is spun.
Nettle thrives abundantly in rainy areas, requires no harmful substances or pesticides, and is therefore particularly environmentally friendly and sustainable.
Through the blend with high-quality wool, the special character of the nettle fiber is positively highlighted, and the wool content gives it volume and structure. This results in a wonderfully soft Aran-weight yarn, despite the rather firm nettle fiber. The irresistible color palette is inspired by the wilderness.
