Andes by Amano is a very special way of thinking about Merino/Alpaca blends! Because unlike what you're used to, Andes is spun as a woolen yarn! This makes the yarn particularly light, airy and economical.

Sweaters knitted from worsted yarn are very durable and do not stretch out as quickly, because a lot of air is spun into the yarn and the stitches connect better with each wear after knitting.

It's wonderfully soft, has a beautiful tweed look, and is simply a fantastic yarn all around! Perfect for shawls, sweaters, hats, and anything else that shouldn't be too heavy. The amazing color selection makes this exceptional yarn a true masterpiece!

The yarn is spun and dyed in Peru, where the alpaca fibers also originate. The merino fibers come from Uruguay.
