Andes by Amano is a very special way of thinking about Merino/Alpaca blends! Because unlike what you're used to, Andes is spun as a woolen yarn! This makes the yarn particularly light, airy and economical.

Sweaters knitted from worsted yarn are very durable and do not stretch out as quickly, because a lot of air is spun into the yarn and the stitches connect better with each wear after knitting.

It's wonderfully soft, has a beautiful tweed look, and is simply a fantastic yarn all around! Perfect for shawls, sweaters, hats, and anything else that shouldn't be too heavy. The amazing color selection makes this exceptional yarn a true masterpiece!

The yarn is spun and dyed in Peru, where the alpaca fibers also originate. The merino fibers come from Uruguay.

Ich will mehr! ;-)

Vom ersten Augenblick an bin ich begeistert von dieser Wolle. Leicht, weich, fluffig. Ich stricke ein grosses Tuch damit, deshalb keine Maschenprobe, aber ich bin jetzt schon gespannt wie sie sich nach dem Baden noch entwickelt. Nachher wird weiter gestrickt, ich freue mich schon drauf! Und wenn die Farbe Natur wieder vorrätig ist, werde ich vermutlich ein Strickkleid damit angehen.
