Our popular Studio Linen by Erika Knight has been slightly redesigned and is now even more sustainable! Studio Linen Eco impresses with 30% linen and 70% Tencel.
Tencel is a cellulose fiber made from wood sourced from sustainably managed forests. Its production takes place in a closed-loop system where the water and solvents used are almost completely recycled.
Tencel is a bit softer than the viscose we used previously, so we've increased the proportion of premium linen from the original 15% to 30%. The result: In a blind test, the new Studio Linen Eco is indistinguishable from its predecessor! Gauge, stitch pattern, and the feel of the knitted fabric: Everything is just like before, only now even more sustainable!
Linen is made from flax fiber, an extremely sustainable plant that requires neither irrigation nor pesticides. Almost the entire plant is used, further reducing its ecological footprint.
This yarn is distinguished by its timeless look and versatile properties: elegant, classic, supple, and cool to the touch. The subtle color palette underscores its sophisticated appearance and offers ample scope for creative designs – whether sophisticated patterns, clean lines, or luxurious details.
The colors will be replaced gradually. Colors from the old and new versions can easily be combined.
