Hey Mama Wolf's beautiful 3-ply Skadi Merino d'Arles GOTS is truly special: Merino d'Arles, at 21 microns, is the softest wool available in Europe. This rare sheep breed grazes the landscapes of southern France and the French Alps under controlled conditions. Due to the unusually strong crimp of the undercoat, yarn spun from this wool is exceptionally fluffy, soft, and airy.
Our favorite GOTS-certified spinning mill spins and dyes this wonderful organic wool in Istanbul. This allows us to source everything from a single supplier, reducing transport distances and ensuring that the wool meets our high standards for sustainability and, of course, quality. It was very important to us to be able to produce this special wool with GOTS certification. This guarantees the best for the environment, the sheep, and the people involved in its production.
Knitting with Skadi is an absolute delight. It's light, voluminous, and soft as a cloud. It's wonderful for light sweaters, jackets, hats, and scarves.
