Nordseebrise by Susanne Oswald is the perfect blend of wool and cotton, ideal for all basics that should be used in summer and winter. With 45% cotton content, it is also the perfect summer yarn. Bentje loves knitting summer sweaters, and in her knitting group, the challenge is "Who can knit the best cardigan in the Nordic summer?" For winter items, she simply doubles the yarn!

But even in Scotland, at Maighread's little knitting shop, there is great enthusiasm for this special yarn. Her motto: Anyone can knit a simple shawl. Many shawls are created here - large shawls, small shawls, single-strand, double-strand, or even with Cozy Dream Lace as a fluffy accompanying thread. The blend of wool and cotton creates a slight melange effect during dyeing, which gives the knitted garments a special charm. To ensure that garments are dimensionally stable, they should not be knitted too loosely. It's different with shawls, which, when knitted loosely, grow after bathing and become particularly airy.

The mulesing-free virgin wool comes from South America. The cotton is grown in Turkey.

Lässt sich gut verarbeiten, sogar auf meiner Strickmaschine. Auch gut für Fair Isle Muster o.ä. geeignet. Kleines Manko: in manchen Knäueln waren ca. 5 Knoten kurz hintereinander. Lässt sich nicht immer vermeiden, aber schon ärgerlich, wenn man Muster strickt… Ansonsten würde ich die Wolle aber wieder verwenden!

"Gute Laune"

Die Wolle verstrickt sich prima bei diesem Tuch aus dem Buch "Maighreeds schönste Geschenkideen". Beides sehr zu empfehlen.

Nordseebrise: Schönes Garn, tolle Farben

Das Garn fühlt sich an wie Bio Balance von BC Garn aber die Farben sind ausgeprägter. Sehr angenehm zum Stricken. Die Produzentin / Färberin hat den Namen der Farbe mit der Hand geschrieben - sehr persönlich und das hat mir auch gut gefallen.

Wolle „Nordseebrise“

Schönes, weiches Garn. Ergibt ein warmes Strickteil. Lässt sich gut verstricken. Ich stricke einen Fair Isle Pullover, dazu ist das Garn bestens geeignet.
