Finally GOTS certified: "Hamelton Tweed 2" is the chunky sibling of Hamelton Tweed 1, also from BC Garn, with the same material properties, only almost twice as thick. We think it's wonderfully suited for so-called "bulky knits": a blanket, a cardigan with set-in sleeves, a plaid... Tweed yarn also has another advantage over other yarns: due to its structure, you can practically do without complicated and elaborate patterns altogether!
The raw wool for our Hamelton yarns comes from mulesing-free farms in South America. Spinning and dyeing take place in Turkey.
