This booklet is a blend of bold colours, soft textures and sophisticated knitted details. Designed by Helena Wieser, who is a perfect fit for Kremke (and one of our absolute favourites!), the collection brings together five fresh patterns that are fun to knit and even more fun to wear.

Inside you’ll find:
• a casual jumper made from a soft yarn blend
• a striped triangular scarf with fringes
• a ruffled cushion cover that’s anything but boring
• a simple knitted hat (perfect for beginners)
• gingham gloves that make a real statement

“For this collaboration, I had very few guidelines, which gave me the freedom to really experiment with colour and material combinations. It was important to me to use different knitting techniques and combine them in a way that feels modern, vibrant and timeless at the same time.” – Helena Wieser

ABOUT THE PATTERNS:

JUMPER
This loose-fitting jumper is knitted seamlessly from the top down using a blend of The Merry Merino and Alpaca Boucle. Short rows are worked to create the sloping shoulders. The yoke is initially worked in rows and then in rounds from the body. For the sleeves, stitches are picked up and the armholes are shaped using short rows. The piped details at the transitions from the body and sleeves to the hems, as well as at the V-neck, give the jumper a high-quality finish.

TRIANGULAR SCARF
This triangular scarf combines criss-crossing stripes, a mix of fabrics and fringes. First, a trapezium is knitted across the length of the scarf and shaped using increases and decreases. Stitches are then picked up along the shorter side, and the tip is shaped using decreases. Finally, the fringes are attached.

CUSHION COVER
A striped cushion cover that never gets boring thanks to the ruffles all round.
It is knitted seamlessly in the round. First, a tube is knitted for the cover, whilst preparing the zip opening.
The tube is closed at the top and bottom, and stitches are picked up from all sides. These are used to work the double-knitted ruffles. Finally, a zip is sewn into the prepared opening at the back.

HAT
This mottled ribbed hat is an entertaining project which, thanks to the detailed instructions, is easy for beginners to follow. It is worked in the round, either using double-pointed needles or on a circular needle using the Magic Loop method. First, the wide brim is knitted, followed by the decreases for the crown.

GLOVES
Gingham checks – both fashionable and timeless, and always eye-catching. The gloves are knitted seamlessly using the intarsia technique. This challenging technique is suitable for all experienced knitters, making the gloves a great project for expanding your knitting skills. Work is carried out from the wrist to the tip of the glove. The thumb is knitted last.
