Zur Strickanleitung
The Sonya Shirt is a simple T-shirt with dropped shoulders and distinctive ribbed cuffs. The design is by Susanne Müller (Instagram: @paulastrickt ). It's a light and airy piece, easy to style, and perfect for spring and summer.
• Sizes:
XS (S) M (L) XL (XXL
Chest circumference: 97 (102) 108 (115) 125 (135) cm
Total length: 51 (52) 54 (56) 58 (60) cm
The sweater should have a freedom of movement ('positive ease') of approximately 10-15 cm from the body.
• Yarn:
200 (200) 250 (250) 300 (350) g 'Bio Balance' by BC Garn (55% virgin wool, 45% cotton; LL 225 m/ 50 g),
here in Facebook 'Sand'.
• Needles:
Circular knitting needle 3.5 mm / 80-100 cm
Circular knitting needle 3.0 mm / 40-60 cm (for neck and sleeve cuffs), 80-100 cm (for body cuffs)
Possibly 3.0 mm double-pointed needles (for the sleeve cuff)
The shirt is worked from the top down. First, the back piece is knitted, and the shoulder shaping is formed using short rows. Then, the left and right front pieces are knitted directly onto the back piece. The back and front pieces are knitted in rows up to the end of the armholes. Afterward, both pieces are joined together to form the body, which is then worked in the round. The sleeve shaping is created using centered double decreases. For the sleeve cuffs, stitches are picked up from the side edges of the front and back pieces and worked in the round in a rib pattern with twisted knit stitches. Finally, stitches are picked up from the neckline and also worked in a twisted rib pattern.
If you would like to knit this shirt, you can purchase the pattern in the designer's Ravelry store and order the matching yarn online from us.
