How do you make soft merino yarn even softer? Quite simply, you add 30% of the finest alpaca! Boom, Rowan Alpaca Soft DK is ready for all kinds of knits: Sweaters, blankets, hats, shawls, it’s a true allrounder. One exception: Alpaka Soft DK is not very well suited for baby garments as it should only be washed by hand. Merino wool is naturally quite smooth and 99.9% of people find it scratch-free. Alpaka insulates very welldue to its special structure. So it warms when it is cold and cools when it is warm.
