It all started with Semilla at BC Garn. Now it not only has a GOTS seal, but also a chlorine-free soft wash treatment! It is also softer than its predecessor.
BC Garn Semilla GOTS is the perfect all-rounder: knitting sweaters, baby clothes, or shawls—no problem for Semilla. The harmonious color palette can be combined beautifully with each other as well as with other yarns from the BC family and reflects the brand's original Nordic charm.
What does it mean that the yarn is now GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified? The GOTS seal means that everything is checked: from animal welfare to pollutant-free dyes and environmentally friendly production to fair pay for all involved and compliance with strict social criteria. In our opinion, the GOTS seal is the strictest seal for ecological and social standards in the textile industry – significantly more comprehensive than Öko-Tex 100, for example. Incidentally, the raw wool comes from Argentina and is of course mulesing-free. It is spun and dyed in Italy.
GOTS – Organic – certified by BCS 25956
Please note, the yarn is soft wash treated, so you may wash it in your washing machine at delicate mode.
