GOTS certified by Control Union CU 890756.
Big Bio Balance by BC Garn is a lovely, chunky yarn that's not too warm! Does this beautiful wool-cotton blend look familiar? Of course, it's the same as our regular Bio Balance. Big Bio Balance is its big sister and perfect for learning to knit. Whether you want to knit a scarf or a sweater, Big Bio Balance can handle it all. It's also perfect for knitting baby blankets—in fact, it's practically the ideal yarn for babies!
The yarn is GOTS certified and therefore 100% organic wool. It's soft and has a beautiful melange effect. The blend of 55% wool and 45% cotton is durable and easy to care for. The manufacturer recommends hand washing this yarn, and we naturally follow that advice. However, numerous practical tests in various washing machines have shown that it tolerates a gentle cycle at 30 degrees well.
The wool used comes from mulesing-free farms in South America. The cotton is grown in Turkey, where the yarn is also spun.
